The Artist
Hi! I’m Blues Marquez, a Wedding and Portrait Photographer based in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines and I love to take photographs! ever since I have been excited about photography, but nothing captivates me more than photographing weddings. It’s the feel, the excitement, the ambiance and the pressure that takes me a world away when I’m covering one, and what makes me feel good about what I do? It’s when I see the smiles on the couples faces when they see the prints or the albums, when that happens, I know that I have done my part in weaving two lives together.
Shooting Style?
I am a candid, photojournalistic, non-obtrusive photographer, because I believe that people just smile better when they don’t know they are being photographed. Although I ask my clients to pose at times when doing e-Sessions and
post-ceremony shoots, but thats only a small part of my total approach.
I post-process my photos but only to enhance them and not manipulate them, sticking to timeless classical approaches help your photographs be as timeless as the moments captured, and there’s nothing that I would hope for than to create ageless photographs where not only you but also your children and grandchildren will enjoy! Being able to blend the old styles with the new keeps my photographs up to date and never outdated.
I treat my clients like how I treat my friends, in fact, most of my clients become good friends of mine! It’s because there’s a connection built between you and your client when you’re there documenting the start of a new family, and that I believe is one of the truest form of human connection.
